A residents association in Northampton is invited local families and children to join them for some fancy dress spooky Halloween fun on Friday 31 October.
Cattlemarket Residents Association, which was set up by LHA, hosted the ghostly goings-on outside the LHA office, at Pen Court in Cattlemarket Road.
There was Halloween-themed food and spell-casting drinks, ghoulish games and a ghost hunt, where the little ones were challenged to find all the hidden spectres outside the office.
Prizes were awarded for the best fancy dress costumes for children aged five and under and over five.
Kamal Dhorajia, Resident Involvement Officer at LHA, said: “LHA worked closely with Cattlemarket Residents Association to organise this event, which was a real spooky treat for local children, and the whole community, to enjoy.”
Pat Harris, Secretary of the Cattlemarket Residents Associations added: “Everyone was really excited about the event and the children loved getting dressed up.
“We have organised similar activities before – like the Easter Egg hunt and the trip to Skegness in the summer- and they are always are big success.”
Cattlemarket Residents Association celebrated its first anniversary this summer. It works closely with neighbourhood wardens and organises events, trips and community clean up days to improve the local area.
It now has fifteen members, six of whom regularly help to organise and run events, but is always looking for more. Residents who live in the Cattlemarket area and want to join should call Pat Harris on 01604 631293.
