Service 24

Call HandlerService 24 is our phone-based response centre, which provides a round-the-clock service to around 15,000 customers.

It is available to other housing associations, local authorities and charities, as well as LHA tenants and residents.

Service packages are tailored to partners’ needs, but can include:

  • Routine and emergency repairs and maintenance
  • Community alarm monitoring
  • Mobile warden visiting
  • Secure key holding
  • Daily visits to sheltered schemes
  • Disaster recovery
  • Gas emissions monitoring
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Lone working monitoring
  • CCTV monitoring of buildings, premises and estates

Experienced personnel provide an immediate response to client needs, while partners can use either our approved contractors or their own.

The service represents a substantial overhead saving, and provides an effective and customer-friendly alternative to paper and office-based systems.

Our linked Lifeline service brings peace of mind to independent living, providing older people, people with disabilities and vulnerable people with the reassurance that help is available quickly in an emergency.

An emergency alarm device, consisting of a unit and a small pendant containing a tiny radio transmitter, connects users to Service 24 at the touch of a button.  Installation takes minutes, requiring only a phone line and a plug socket.  Highly trained operators can arrange whatever help may be needed, even if the user is unable to speak.
